About the Connections Team

We are the strategic experts navigating the course to create 360⁰ connections with the consumer. To be the best that we can be, we work in partnership with our internal teams, including Client Service, Creative and Production, along with our clients to ensure their projects are on target and our plans are effective at achieving their business goals. We are constantly learning about our clients’ audiences, their customer journey and their content consumption habits to pique their curiosity and attract their attention. Through meticulous research and market understanding, we create and execute plans to reach consumers throughout their journey to drive success.

As a (Intermediate) Connections Planner & Buyer, you will:

  • Support senior members of the Connections team on deliverables to client and aides in creation of the connection strategy & plan to achieve client objectives
  • Analyze and evaluate media opportunities (i.e. will the opportunity help the client with their business or campaign objective)
  • Work closely with internal Production and Strategic Services team or partner creative agency & client (media only accounts) to ensure material requirements and specs are prepared accurately so creative can be produced on time for launch
  • Maintain relationships with key vendors
  • Keep up with and advises the team on the latest trends or changes in media landscape
  • Planning & Research
    • Aide the Supervisor/Associate Director in pulling research within the planning process
      • Prefer that you are comfortable with key media tools (Vivdata, Lens, COMB, FB planner, etc.) and how to interpret the data
    • With the support of more senior members of the team, lead the planning process on mid-sized campaigns including
        • Sending RFPs to vendors and negotiating rates
        • Evaluating proposals and section of tactics that are in line with campaign objectives
        • Creation of blocking chart and presentation deck
        • Lead the presentation to client and makes changes to the plan based on feedback
    • Buying:
      • Work closely with senior members of the Connections team to ensure plans are executed in line with the approved connection strategy, on budget and in time for launch
      • Work with media vendors to book campaigns as approved (checking contracts to ensure accuracy)
    • Digital campaign execution:
      • Develop digital trafficking sheet ensuring naming conventions are aligned
      • Set up self-serve platforms, including Facebook/Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok, etc.
      • Set up Looker Studio reporting template based on client and campaign requirements
    • Maintenance:
      • Ensure that all buys are maintained and the integrity of the buy is preserved
      • Input media buys into MediaOcean/Prisma for client billing (for clients where a coordinator is not on the business); manages the coordinators inputting of the buys and ensures accuracy (for clients where a coordinator is supporting the business)
    • Reporting:
      • Pull insights for reporting, including optimization recommendations
      • Participate in communication of reporting on client calls
      • Update MediaOcean and blocking charts to reflect optimizations
      • Develop the post-campaign reporting by pulling relevant data and insights in a way that can be effectively communicated via PowerPoint
    • Relationship:
      • Build and maintain strong client relationships and partner relationships.
      • Leverage media relationships to stay updated of changes in market conditions

 We’re looking for someone who has:

  • 4-5 years of media experience in understanding of buying
  • Ability to independently buy for digital, radio and print
  • Experience buying television (with or without senior team member support)
  • The ability to effectively work in cross-functional teams
  • Proficient in key tools including: Microsoft Excel & Power Point and very familiar with others such as Vivdata, Lens, COMB, Facebook planner, etc.

Salary Range: $60,000 – $65,000

  • Final salary will depend on the level of experience of the successful candidate
