About the Connections Team

We are the strategic experts navigating the course to create 360⁰ connections with the consumer. To be the best that we can be, we work in partnership with our internal teams, including strategic service, creative and production, along with our clients to ensure their projects are on target and our plans are effective at achieving their business goals. We are constantly learning about our clients’ audiences, their customer journey and their content consumption habits to pique their curiosity and attract their attention. Through meticulous research and market understanding, we create and execute plans to reach consumers throughout their journey to drive success.

As a Digital Strategist you will:

  • Lead and mentor the Connections Manager/Coordinator as well as:
    • Supervise junior staff in the strategic planning process
    • Supervise junior staff on the execution of client campaigns, ensuring tasks are completed accurately, on time and that the integrity of the strategy is maintained
    • Ensure reporting is prepared on time and review insights to ensure they are aligned with what the data shows
    • Ensure robust post-campaign reporting is prepared, including a case study for internal use
  • Develop the digital strategy and plan that meets client business and campaign objectives for complex clients across categories
    • Leverage research from client, client data and other research sources to:
      • Understand the digital consumer journey
      • Understand the current digital landscape
    • Leverage previous campaign learnings to guide strategy
    • Collaborate with the strategic services & creative teams to refine the strategy based on messaging
    • Effectively communicate the digital strategy via a presentation to the client and internal teams
  • Develop a direct relationship with clients to position yourself and the agency as partners and experts; must develop an in-depth understanding of our all clients
  • Stay up-to-date with industry changes specific to digital & technology, ensuring our agency and clients are kept informed of any changes that may impact them
  • Work closely with the VP of Connections and Associate Director on department operations, including developing and maintaining department and agency culture, exploring new tools, collaborating with other departments to improve processes, etc.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • 7+ years experience in digital media planning/buying
  • The ability to lead an account with clients who have complex digital needs
  • The ability to mentor junior staff
  • Hands on experience and/or a solid understanding of the Google Marketing Platform, including DV360, Campaign Manager, Google Studio, Google Analytics, along with Google Tag Manager
  • Experience working with complex travel and/or retail clients (this is not required, but is considered a big bonus)
