About our Connections Team

We are the strategic experts navigating the course to create 360⁰ connections with the consumer. To be the best that we can be, we work in partnership with our internal teams, including strategic service, creative and production, along with our clients to ensure their projects are on target and our plans are effective at achieving their business goals. We are constantly learning about our clients’ audiences; their customer journey and their content consumption habits to pique their curiosity and attract their attention. Through meticulous research and market understanding, we create and execute plans to reach consumers throughout their journey to drive success.

As a Connections Supervisor you will:

  • Develop the connections strategy and plan that meets client business and campaign objectives
    • Leverage research from client, syndicated research (Vividata) and other research sources to:
      • Understand the consumer journey and media habits
      • Understand the current media landscape
    • Leverage previous campaign learnings to guide strategy
    • Collaborate with the Strategic Services & Creative team to refine strategy based on messaging
  • Effectively communicate the connection strategy via a presentation to the client and internal teams
  • Develop a direct relationship with clients to position themselves and the agency as partners and experts; must have an in-depth understanding of the clients’ business
  • Lead and mentor Connections Manager / Coordinator supporting the client business
    • Supervise junior staff in the strategic planning process as appropriate
      • Allows the Supervisor to delegate some of the work
      • Allows the Manager/Coordinator to be progressively trained in the planning process
    • Supervise junior staff on the execution of the client campaigns ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time, while ensuring that the integrity of the strategy is maintained
  • Oversees reporting is prepared on time and reviews insights to ensure they are aligned with what the data shows
  • Ensures robust post-campaign reporting with learnings are prepared, including a case study for internal use
  • Ensure client invoicing and budget control reports are maintained monthly and are accurate
  • Participates and aides in developing and maintaining department and agency culture
  • Stays up to date on industry changes (all media) and provides other departments and clients are kept abreast on any changes that may impact their business via:
    • Email communication
    • Lunch & learns
    • Client presentations

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • 5+ years experience in holistic media planning/buying
  • The ability to lead an account with clients who have complex media needs
  • The ability to develop on-target media strategy rooted in the consumer journey, data and insights
  • The ability to mentor junior staff
  • The ability to effectively work in cross-functional teams
